I have lived in new York for 10 years, and have used at least 3 different movers… I struggled with past movers and their attitudes, and felt like they didn't really care. I went with these past movers because of the price…
That was until someone recommended Metropolis, and I am SO GLAD I toon a chance in trying another mover. Everything from the first point of contact was nothing but friendly and customized. I felt like they really cared. I have then my initial thought of what our inventory would be, and they gave me a quote which was very reasonable!!! Definitely in the same ballpark as past movers I had used. I even asked if they could provide a wardrobe box, and they did so free of charge which was amazing! As it got closer to the moving day, we found we had a couple extra boxes and pieces, and I expected it to be another maybe hundred dollars, but to my surprise, the price remained the same. I was estatic.

If you can request these guys, do it. They were so kind and funny and really cared about our boxes. We had extra large boxes (which I will never do again because they are so heavy) but these guys took extra time to take them up really well, and were very gentle and it's almost as if they took care of each package as if it contained the most valuable items. They were singing and chatting with us, complimenting us on our new space, and although they were sweating like crazy, they had a constant smile on their faces. They worked their asses off but just smiled and laughed and were just incredible.
I will ALWAYS recommend these guys and ALWAYS use them. The future. As far as I'm concerned they are the only movers in NYC.
